Samuel noted, “There’s no structure we would have accepted that wasn’t Black-owned.”

This commitment to representation and empowerment is at the heart of Revolt’s mission moving forward.

Monique Chennault, head of Revolt Studios, echoed this sentiment, stating that the company seeks to amplify the voices of those often overlooked in the industry.

“We embrace the talent of the underdog,” she remarked, highlighting the opportunity for marginalized voices to finally gain equity and recognition.

While the company is distancing itself from Combs amid ongoing allegations against him, Samuel chose not to delve into how these issues impacted employees or the support provided to them.

Instead, he emphasized that Revolt is now an independent entity, focused on its future without the shadow of its founder.
