Ben Affleck Skips Toronto Premiere of ‘Unstoppable’ Amid Divorce from Jennifer Lopez

In a surprising turn of events, Ben Affleck opted to stay in Los Angeles while his latest film, featuring his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film, titled Unstoppable, is produced by Affleck’s own company, Artists’ Equity, which he co-founded with Matt Damon.

While the premiere took place on September 6, Affleck was spotted in LA, dressed sharply in a suit and sunglasses, seemingly focused on work rather than the glitz of the festival.

Jennifer Lopez, who stars in the film as Judy Robles, made her appearance at the festival to promote the biopic.

Just weeks prior, she filed for divorce from Affleck after two years of marriage, adding a layer of complexity to their professional relationship.

The couple’s split has been a topic of much speculation, especially now that they find themselves navigating both personal and professional waters separately.

Damon and his wife, Lushana, were also present at the TIFF premiere, supporting the film alongside other cast members like Yarel Jerome, Bobby Cannaval, Michael Pina, and Don Cheadle.

Unstoppable tells the inspiring story of Anthony Robles, a wrestler born with one leg who achieved remarkable success by winning the NCAA National Championship in 2011.

This powerful narrative highlights resilience, making it a fitting project for both Affleck and Lopez.

Interestingly, just days before the premiere, Affleck and Lopez were seen arriving at the same building in Los Angeles, where they both have offices.

Affleck was reportedly spotted leaving shortly after Lopez arrived, hinting at the ongoing connection they share despite their recent separation.

A source close to Affleck reassured fans that he is coping well with the divorce, emphasizing that he is content being close to his children and is focused on the positives in his life.

Affleck’s current mindset seems to reflect a commitment to his work and family.

According to the insider, he is thriving in his familiar surroundings and is dedicated to his projects, including Unstoppable.

The film is set to open in select theaters this December and will also be available on Prime Video, expanding its reach to a wider audience.

Directed by William Goldenberg, who previously won an Oscar for editing Affleck’s Argo, Unstoppable promises to deliver a compelling cinematic experience.
